Chen Zhaoying introduced, “China is the main export market for Australian drupes, and exports to China are stable, especially nectarines, honey peaches and plums. In the 2020/21 season, 54% of the output of Australian drupes reached 11256 tons in Chinese mainland, worth more than 51 million Australian dollars (about 230 million yuan).”
Chen Zhaoying stressed that although the epidemic and other factors pose challenges to China Australia Trade, Australia has always been committed to developing the Chinese market.
“Business exchanges between China and Australia have never been interrupted. As always, the Australian Trade Commission will assist Australian enterprises and their partners in trade exports and deeply cultivate the Chinese market. In 2020, the bilateral trade volume between China and Australia reached a $166 billion (about RMB 751.4 billion), and 35% of Australia’s international trade is closely related to China.”
Lin Juncheng, the representative of LPG cuti fruit China, an Australian nuclear fruit exporter, also mentioned that under the epidemic, although the export cost of Australian nuclear fruits will be affected to some extent, the overall difference is small, and quality control is the key.

Under the influence of the epidemic situation and Australia’s continued closure of the border, the export cost has increased greatly this season. The overall market trend is flat, with little difference from previous years. We also found that domestic consumers’ demand for quality, especially good quality nuts, is rising and are willing to Pay a higher price, so quality control will be very critical. “
